If you can't do it all yourself, the next level of thinking is "buy it here" and keep those dollars in the local economy. 

The benefits of local buying were illustrated by a recent study performed by Haag Environmental Company for the City of Sandusky, in Erie County. 

In that study, it was noted that the City spent roughly $60 million each year, and $40 million of that spending occurred outside of Erie County.

If the City of Sandusky could bring half of that spending inside of Erie County, that would be the equivalent of bringing in a new business that spends $20 million each year!
